Open League is an independent organization that provides recreational racing opportunities for adult skiers/snowboarders and their dependent children. Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are affiliated with the Far West Racing Association (FWRA), Bay Area Snow Sports Council (BAC), and the Far West Ski Association (FWSA). Racing is conducted for all ability levels, from beginning skiers and snowboarders to accomplished former college racers. Currently there are 10 ability levels. Each ability level may have up to 3 age groupings as shown: Racers belong to ski/snowboard clubs affiliated with the Bay Area Council of Ski Clubs and the Far West Ski Association. Check out our member clubs and contact their directors. This is an adult recreational program and Junior racers are included in deference to their racing parents. Potential participants are cautioned that Open League racing is NOT a developmental program. Parents wanting to enroll their children in a developmental program leading to selection to the US Ski Team should look to their local ski resort for assistance. |
